Crowdfunder – the UK’s largest crowdfunding platform

Crowdfunder is one of the UK’s largest crowdfunding platforms that specializes in raising small and average-sized startups. By 2013, the network launched more than 3000 projects and raised over £1,000,000.

An innovative funding platform launched by KEO digital, makers of rivercottage.net, fishfight.net, landshare.net and energyshare.com, Crowdfunder is also working with a number of partners including NESTA and Plymouth University. They strive to provide the project owners with the best tools to help them reach their crowdfunding targets without dividing the projects if they are too big or small.

Current Managing Director of the platform Phil Geraghty joined Crowdfunder from TouchLocal where he was co-founder and Product Director, overseeing the rolling out of the UK’s largest network of Business Directories. Touch Local was created after the purchase of Phil’s startup company City Online Ltd, created whilst at Southampton University studying Computer Science.

Since merging with the other UK crowdfunding network Peoplefund.it in 2012, and launching the network of 101 local newspaper websites with Local World Ltd, Crowdfunder became the UK’s leading reward based crowdfunding platform.

At Crowdfunder authors of the projects have the ability to raise relatively good funds during the short period of time (starting from 6 days).

To the present moment, the plarform has a huge celebrity support reaching out to over 70,000,000 followers.

Crowdfunder is following the crowdfunding’s mission as an alternative means of funding that allows individuals to take their ideas forward and make them a reality with the power of the crowd and change the world around them.

One of the main ideas of Crowdfunder is to make as many ideas as possible succeed, whether you own an existing business, want to launch a new one, are a school, work in the creative industry, need funds for a social enterprise, are a charity, or are just an individual with a fantastic idea – the network can help you raise the funds needed for your project.
